Connecticut is hiring an outside computer firm to help implement the delayed Clean Slate Act that was originally intended to take effect in January of 2023. The act provides for the automatic erasure of many, but not all, misdemeanors and lower-level felonies that occurred after January 1, 2000.
Many, but not all, misdemeanors and low-level felonies that occurred prior to January 1, 2000, are eligible for erasure but require the filing of a form.
